Founder, The Fremont Group

Thirty years of management consulting. Author of Minding My Own Business. Has worked with more than 4,000 small businesses nationwide — and started TFG's bookkeeping division after seeing how often good businesses were let down by bad books.

Thirty years in the making

The Fremont Group began as a nonprofit management consulting firm. The 501(c)3 structure proved cumbersome, and since 2002 TFG has operated as an LLC — while holding onto the same mission of helping small business owners run stronger companies.

Bookkeeping grew out of that consulting work: too many capable owners were flying blind because their books weren't kept well. It's now TFG's core business.

TFG works remotely with clients nationwide, with offices in Denver and Tucson and professionals across every U.S. time zone — so there's always someone on your account during business hours, wherever you are.

Why owners choose TFG

Accuracy

Two professionals, always

Every account is staffed by two experienced professionals, not one — so a vacation, illness, or staff change never leaves your books untouched.

Communication

You're never guessing

Call your professional directly. Add a weekly Zoom to your calendar and treat it as your company's standing financial meeting — full visibility, on your schedule.

Price

Under half the cost

TFG typically runs well under half what an in-house bookkeeper costs, with three service levels so you only pay for what your business actually needs.

TFG doesn't provide CPA services. You keep your existing CPA — or we can recommend one — and we work directly with them to keep your chart of accounts clean and your professional fees down.

Need more than bookkeeping?

Your company has grown past what you can run alone, but not to the point of hiring a full-time office manager. TFG Office Management provides a real person — not AI, not overseas — to run the day-to-day for you remotely.

Hand over a to-do list each morning; we handle the rest. Your phone gets answered by a person, your calendar stays current, and the small things stop slipping.

Combine it with bookkeeping for additional savings.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose TFG for bookkeeping?

Three reasons: accuracy, from two experienced professionals on every account; communication, with direct phone access and optional weekly Zoom reviews; and price, typically under half the cost of an in-house bookkeeper.

How do you work if you're not on site?

QuickBooks Online and similar tools make remote bookkeeping highly effective. Combined with a real commitment to communication, it works at least as well as having someone in your office — often better.

Do you handle our taxes?

No — keep your current CPA, or we can recommend one. We work directly with your CPA to keep your chart of accounts aligned with their needs, which keeps their fees down and lets them focus on the tax advice they're trained to give.

Is it secure?

Yes. TFG only receives administrative access to your financial information, which removes the risk of theft by your bookkeeper.

Can I also get TFG's management consulting?

Yes. Under a separate agreement, TFG clients can access cost-effective consulting on strategic planning, employee issues, sales plans, expansion, and time management. See tfginfo.org or fremontfocusmgmt.com for details.
